These Pages are aimed at providing a general overview of what our island is, our culture, the traditions, language, gastronomy and locations, as well as the accommodation facilities and service providers. The intent is to facilitate your choice of vacation locations, especially now that Sardinia is so well served with low-cost flights to Cagliari, Alghero and Olbia. would like to inform you that, as of June 2005, there are no longer four Sardinian provinces but eight: Cagliari, Sassari, Nuoro, Oristano, Olbia-Tempio, Ogliastra, Medio Campidano and Carbonia-Iglesias. The decision to form eight provinces resulted from the need to be able to better represent the diversity of the various regions.
