Situated 550 metres above sea level in the heart of the Gallura region and 20 minutes by car from the Costa Paradiso coast and from the Isola Rossa, not farfrom famous Costa Smeralda, La Vignaredda is an exclusive antique dwelling looking over one of the most beautiful Sardinian panoramas. The residence is in the vicinity of Aggius, famous for the jagged granite peaks of the Valle della luna (Valley of the Moon) as well as for the art of weaving carpets and tapestries which is still actively practised. Careful restoration has transformed the house into a comfortable holiday residence and has restored the bare granitic walls to their original splendour, not to mention the fireplaces and the original furnishings, different in each room and apartment following in the style of the late nineteenth century, the Liberty period and traditional Sardinian craftsmanship. La Vignaredda boasts 4 differently sized and fully furnished apartments, and 2 rooms with private bathrooms. Breakfast is prepared with local products and produce from the kitchen garden and orchard and is served in the garden during the summer months and in the large living room with fireplace during the winter.
